Greene's Recycle does not buy material that we know or suspect to be stolen. Greene's operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and, when asked, cooperates fully with all Law Enforcements Agencies.

Why We Don't Buy...

There are many reasons why Greene's will decline to puchase some items. Some times the purchase is prohibited by law, other times we cannot resale the item to our buyers. In rare cases, we simply are not interested in buying certain products. Refer to the list below for specific items. Greene's reserves the right to refuse any purchase.

Specific Items We Do Not Buy.......

  • City, county, or state owned material
  • Railroad Scrap
  • Propane Tanks
  • Electronics
  • Beer Kegs
  • Water Softeners
  • Grocery Carts
  • Microwaves
  • Fluorescent light ballasts
  • Capacitors
  • Transformers
  • Material containing asbestos, lead paint, or radiation
  • Nickel-cadmium or radioactive items
  • Closed cylinders – must have large hole cut in any container
  • Valid, current, state issued photo ID required for all purchases
  • Air Conditioners/Freezers/Refridgerators with intact compressors/coolant
